GAYLES MUCH MORE THAN A WIDE RECEIVER.(SPORTS)

Fred Gayles was a prolific, mild-mannered wide receiver when this Albany Firebirds season began, a likely candidate to lead his team in catches no matter which QB chucked 'em from the pocket.

But suddenly it might be borderline blasphemy to simply call Albany's Frederick The Great a "wide receiver." After all, and in the never-ending search for political correctness, "offensive specialist" now seems a more proper title.

Gayles has become a most-dangerous man once cradling a football in his arms. His only weakness might be when it comes to accepting accolades.
