VIC:Andrews to get nod as Labor leader

Former health minister DANIEL ANDREWS is expected to be elected Victorian Labor leader
at the ALP's first party meeting since last week's shattering election defeat.

Labor MPs .. who will meet today .. are expected to elect Mr ANDREWS unopposed as leader
.. with former deputy premier ROB HULLS firming as deputy leader ahead of cabinet colleagues
JACINTA ALLAN and TIM HOLDING.

Mr ANDREWS is expected to select his shadow cabinet within days .. but The Age newspaper
reports former agriculture minister JOE HELPER and former education minister BRONWYN PIKE
will be dumped.

Mr HOLDING is likely to take the shadow treasury .. displacing former Brumby government
treasurer JOHN LENDERS .. who will remain on the front bench.

Premier TED BAILLIEU and his cabinet were sworn in yesterday.
